07:59 pm - On the academic front
1) I was finally transferred to the "right" advisor. So everything's OK and now I can apply for a grant.
2) There will finally be an official release party for my book (my dissertation). It will be in one of the best bookstores in São Paulo, in the end of the month.

Watched the reading of "8" yesterday -- a Play about the Fight for Marriage Equality featuring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Martin Sheen, George Takei, Matt Bomer, Christine Lahti, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Kevin Bacon, Jane Lynch, Matthew Morrison, Chris Colfer, and others. Written by Dustin Lance Black and directed by Rob Reiner. Very moving!

Wow, this vid is amazing. It features Hugh Laurie (House M.D.) as Benedict Cumberbatch's (BBC Sherlock's) father. Including scenes from Fortysomething, a series where Hugh Laurie played Paul Slippery, father to Rory Slippery, played by Benedict Cumberbatch.
